Who is Steven Storch?

Graduate of North Carolina Central University School of Law, one of The Princeton Review’s list of the nation’s top law schools, with four years of experience as a solo practitioner.  Background in contract negotiations and disputes, family law, consumer protection law, real estate, and general litigation.  Areas of practice include:

Superior research, analytical, and communication skills:  As a professor of philosophy, I taught at many of North Carolina’s finest Universities, including North Carolina State University, Appalachian State University, North Carolina Central University, and Elon University.  Among the courses taught were Critical Thinking and Logic and I have 18+ years of University level teaching experience.

Durham County Magistrate, (current).

Conduct initial appearances for probable cause.  Issue search and arrest warrants along with orders for arrest and criminal summonses.  Orders for involuntary commitments are also issued.  Magistrates also preside over small claims court and conduct marriage ceremonies.

, Assistant District Attorney, 2007 to 2009.

Responsibilities included handling all aspects of prosecuting cases in District Criminal Court, Traffic Court, and Drug Treatment Court as well as 1st appearances and bond hearings in the jail courtroom.

Principal Attorney, 2003 to 2007. North Carolina Central University Professor of Philosophy, 2000-2002, Taught all courses offered by the philosophy department, including Introduction to Philosophy, Logic, Critical Thinking, and Ethics.

Appalachian State University; Elon College; NC State University; Guilford College; and Wesleyan College. Various adjunct or visiting professor positions, 1990-2000. Taught a variety of courses including: Introduction to Philosophy; Applied Ethics; Logic; Critical Thinking; Introduction to Ethics; Professional and Business Ethics.
